To put it in simple terms it measures your overall online influence on a scale of 1 to 100. The higher the number, the more influential you are.
This handy website and app uses the Klout’s system by analysing multiple social networks based on which networks you provide to Klout and correlating the data into this easy, referable number as a reference to measure your success. Lets look at the key points for why you should know your klout score and how it can benefit your business. 1 - Good rating system
The rating system assigns a numerical value to the social media popularity of your brand. This numerical rating is something that you can use and figure out ways to increase the score. Different marketing tactics across social media platforms may need to be applied in order to see the ratings go up. Sharing more posts related to your business and industry, following appropriate people will all be good endeavours for increasing your score. The rating system does not claim to be 100% accurate, however the score could be considered a benchmark, encouraging you to figure out ways to communicate better with the wider targeted audience. Without knowing your Klout score it can be difficult to gage how popular you are on social media and if your efforts are reaching the right audience. Take your time to build your community with people who are interested in you, and your brand. Another factor for a low Klout score could be that your content is boring. You need to make sure that you are engaging. Make the content feel conversational and light hearted.
